Our calling extends beyond our own neighbourhood.
How do we live out our faith?
Toronto
We believe in being an active partner in our neighbourhood and shining Christ in practical ways. We actively support our local schools, engage in food drives, partner with the police for an annual toy drive, host appreciation days for our local first responders, organize community BBQs, and more!
Canada
We believe that our responsibility extends beyond our city. By example, Jesus made a positive impact in every community He visited. In our own country, we have a homeless and hunger crisis in all major cities and we prioritize supporting programs that help in these areas.
The World
Toronto is the most multicultural city in Canada - the world has come to our city! We have 27 nations represented at CITC so we have connections all over the world. Part of our footprint of faith is partnering with others to help kids around the world through sponsorship and education.
Who do we partner with?
Village of Hope, Mwanza
Village of Hope, Mwanza is a village that brings hope specifically to at-risk kids and youth in Africa. It's is a registered Canadian charity and connects well with our heartbeat at CITC to bring hope and compassion to all people. Julius and Jade Kenyamanyara are a fantastic couple that direct VOH, Mwanza and are also friends of CITC. As a church, we sponsor a few different children from the Village of Hope program. David and Eileen Courey
David and Eileen are missionaries and educators in Europe. They are focused on raising up NextGen leaders for changing churches in thoroughly secular society. Their ministry has three dimensions: Shaping Leaders, Encouraging Churches, and Building Foundations. Learn more here.
Pregnancy Care Centre
The Pregnancy Care Centre provides compassionate community support to women and families facing an unexpected pregnancy. They offer a safe place to talk through various options and provide a supportive community that helps individuals feel less alone in their experience. Learn more here.
Serving the St. Lawrence Community
We are committed to being an active community partner in our own neighbourhood by looking for opportunities to serve, whether by ourselves or shoulder to shoulder with other community friends. Jesus set an example of engaging communities and bringing his love to all - we try to follow His example in the St. Lawrence and Canary districts.
