We are an urban church centred in Christ providing vibrant community, a safe place to grow spiritually, and opportunities to serve others with compassion, and reach those who don't yet know Jesus.

Why Should You ‘Try Church?’

Maybe you have attended church your whole life….and you have moved to Toronto…and you are looking for a church near you…and you have stumbled upon Church in the City…that’s great come on over…see below our service times!

Maybe you have never had an experience at church, or maybe you have been hurt by the church in your past.

We want YOU to give it another try. At Church in the City, what you will find is a loving group of people, that are broken & messy. We are people who have found hope, purpose & love that is unlike ANYWHERE ELSE.

There is no dress code, there is no pre-requisite exam, and there is no permission slip needed to attend Church in the City. We also have FREE Nespresso Coffee every Sunday morning!

Our challenge to you is to…take a step of faith…and see with your own eyes, a community of people that are totally committed to serving the St.Lawrence, Canary, and surrounding high-rise communities. We want you to see that we don’t just get together for a social gathering. We do life together, because of the hope and love we have found!

Is Church Just on Sunday?

Church is a community of people, who usually get together as a whole once a week, for us that is on Sunday. Even though there are four walls in the building we meet in….that building is just a meeting place…the church is the people who meet inside of that building.

The church getting together isn’t limited to meeting just on Sunday, we have Bible Studies throughout the week that we call ‘Life Groups’ (because we are doing Life Together!). You can definitely try out one of these ‘Life Groups’ throughout the week, before a Sunday meeting, as it is a smaller setting.
